As we commemorate Canada day, it is essential to reflect upon the enduring bond of friendship and cooperation between our two nations. Our nations have witnessed the bravery and selflessness of those who dedicated their lives to upholding the principles of justice, freedom, peace, and human dignity. In the face of adversity, they displayed unwavering resolve, demonstrating the true essence of courage and commitment. We also appreciate Canada’s previous unwavering support and assistance to Afghanistan in various areas, including education, healthcare, democracy, counter-terrorism, women empowerment, and economic development. Canada's commitment to Afghanistan's stability and prosperity remains crucial.

Given the the current circumstances, Canada's continued support for democratic processes in Afghanistan will be critical. We value Canada's advocacy for the voices and aspirations of the Afghan people, ensuring that their will and aspirations are respected when it comes to governance.

We also commend Canada's compassionate response in helping Afghan immigrants and refugees during these challenging times. Canada’s commitment to resettling Afghan refugees, especially in the wake of the events of August 2021, demonstrates the true spirit of compassion and solidarity. We express our deepest gratitude to the Canadian people for their generosity, kindness, and willingness to provide a safe and welcoming environment for those seeking refuge.
